Acronis Backup Cloud / Acronis Backup Service: Backup Exclusions Do Not Work for Linux Machines

Symptoms

1. You back up disks or an entire Linux machine.
2. In the backup plan, you specify exclusions.
3. Specified files/folders are not excluded from backup and backup completes with warning:

Error code: 47
Module: 7
LineInfo: a5695862aaf8e6f9
Fields:  PartitionId : 225, $module : disk_bundle_lxa64_140
Message: File exclusion is not supported.

Cause

Issue in the product.

Solution

Acronis development team is working on the issue, and it will be fixed in the next update. The article will be updated accordingly.

As workaround, you can make a file-level backup and specify exclusions.
